4 years 10 months!

CET are 4 years and 10 months old!
A couple weeks ago we had a garage sale and we thought we'd also try a lemonade stand for the boys to test out their entrepreneurial skills. Our garage sale was a bust maybe because it was a really hot day and the boys weren't doing very well either. Then Phil had the great idea of moving the stand to the corner where there was more foot traffic.
It was an excellent move and the boys made a killing! People couldn't resist "the cute triplets," and there were even people who pulled over in their car as they were driving by to buy lemonade from them. One person pulled over and just gave them money because "they are so cute!" Another person bought from them and then went home and came back with his wife so buy from them again. The boys were pretty funny and would tell people that a cup of lemonade costs "one money!"
The boys made $35 in just a couple hours!
The sheriff's in town!
The boys crack me up with their obsession to play police officers. They never take off their police shirts, they make home made binoculars, use sticks as guns and make handcuffs out of paper and glue!
Taco anticipation smile!
Mr. T LOVES tacos!
(FYI if it's crunchy it's not a real taco, unless you've added extra diced onions and cilantro, then it'll probably be crunchy, ha!)
We've had swim lessons last week and this week too! It's been so nice because swim lessons end right when free kids lunches start at the park! Its been so easy these past two weeks!
The boys have made soooo much progress during these swim lessons! They were just barely sticking their faces in the water before classes started and now they fully immerse their heads and attempt to "swim" underwater. They are well on their way to learning how to swim!

Last Of Cali

I feel a little silly posting stuff from our California trip since it's been more than a month that we got back, but I must document! After two long weeks Phil flew down to San Jose so that I wouldn't have to drive back up to Portland alone. We all missed each other too much and we decided two weeks was too long, so I don't think we'll do that again!

Thomas wearing his puddle jumpers.
I don't know why but they look so cute in these!
Caleb, getting some pool time!
Even though it was 102F the boys were still shivering after 15 minutes in the pool!

Meeting Part

I've been such a terrible blogger lately! I've been really busy with life. Besides the typical we also have swim lessons and when the boys nap I've been boxing up all their outgrown clothes and sending them off to other families with triplets. I love knowing our 'clothing sets' won't be broken and will be reused as a unit! Triplet mom problem #739 "you can't break up the sets!" Hahaha! The boys are used to the routine as well, a lot of times they'll tell me that they don't want something anymore and that we should send it to other triplets or as the boys say "otros tipets."

The boys had a part in the meeting last night, they did so well!
We were so proud of them that we took them to DQ to get their very first
chocolate dipped ice cream cones!
Here is the full video in case anyone wants to see it : )

La Jolla

After Disneyland we headed further south to La Jolla, near San Diego. We had a great day at the beach!

Group picture fail : )
Because its an "el nino" year the beach was filled with these dead lobster/shrimp looking creatures!
They were everywhere and the boys were a little freaked out.

Disneyland

A couple days after the boys and I arrived to the SF Bay Area in Cali we jumped back in the car and drove down to Anaheim. My mom had been wanting us to go to Disneyland for quite some time and a few months ago I finally agreed we'd go. That is until I found out how much the admission is! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME, WHY WOULD I EVER PAY THAT MUCH MONEY FOR ONE STINKING DAY (and yes I know you can save a few bucks by going multiple days but it's still an obscene amount of money in my opinion). And yes I've been to Disneyland several times as a child. I immediately called my mom to tell her there was no way in Hades I'd ever pay that much money on kiddie rides (not to mention the lines!). Luckily it's like my mom's dream to take her grand kids to Disneyland so she offered to pay our entrance fees. Although it's still beyond my moral compass to pay that kind of money on a theme park, I also think it's a grandmothers right to spoil her grand kids and so we went!

I must say it was a pretty fun day and the boys had a blast. Most rides seemed to scare them even though they weren't that scary like Mr. Toads Wild Ride. Among the boys favorites were Pirate's of the Caribbean, the cars you can "drive," and the Rocket Ships. They were also very captivated by the light parade. The lines weren't horrible either, maybe because we went on a Tuesday but everyone is impressed when I tell them our average wait was 15-20 min (which is still way too long considering how much you pay to get in!). I still don't get why people go ape over this place, especially adults who go without any children in tow (seriously?). The last time I went I was 14 and I thought to myself "ooooh, I'm way to old for this place." It's just glorified kiddie rides people! But I guess to each his own. I'm sure we won't be going back unless grandma wants to splurge again or unless the boys really really (and I emphasize REALLY) want to go and they save up all their money to pay for their admission from doing tons and tons and tons of chores, ha!

Starting out the day nice and early!
Besides a 1 hour nap the boys walked all day long at the park. W
e didn't take any strollers or wagons and never carried them. We stayed till they closed at midnight and tio Mike's pedometer said we walked a total of 10 miles that day!
They have such strong little legs : )
