Home Again!

Yesterday was quite the ordeal getting out the door. Aside from procrastinating in the morning, as we were about to load the boys up in the car around 1pm we discovered that our battery was dead. Since we didn't notice any direct cause we were too scared to hit the road with a 6 year old battery. So Phil took the car to get a new battery. With all our stuff, cribs included, packed up the boys had to put off their naps till Phil got back with the car. Although obviously tired they were relatively happy until dad got back around 3:30pm. They were so tired that they slept almost 3 hours uninterrupted. So we made good time, we took a quick stop in Dunsmuir for dinner and a play in the park. Still it got dark on us and of course I got stuck driving the worse spot. Windy roads in the dark, ugh! It was a butt clencher : ( Made it to the motel around 9:30pm. We didn't waste time in the morning and were on the road by 9am after getting bagels. Another stop in Eugene for lunch and play then back home by 5pm.

Looking forward to cooler weather, looking at all the pictures we took over the last two weeks on our good camera, catching up on all my fav blogs and getting back into our routines!

On The Road Again

It was a great trip and we LOVED seeing EVERYONE! We will miss you all sooooo much : ) The heat was brutal this time around which reminds us to stay home in the summer, so expect us back in the spring!

The best thing about being from California is that we get to vacation in California with all our loved ones! Can't wait till the boys are older and we can take them to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Santa Cruz, Alcatraz, Yosemite and all the other great sites! We might need to start making this pilgrimage twice a year : )

We head out today in the afternoon and hope to make it to Medford, OR before dark...

Last Day

We had a relaxing last day full of visitors. Myra came over in the am and the boys played with Elliot for a little while, I'm sure he was wondering why there were three n_aked midgets running around that all looked exactly the same (they've spent most of this trip in their birthday suites). While the boys napped Phil and I went out to lunch at our fav Davis spot, Sofia's (Thai food)! In the pm Candy, Alona, and Karina came over. Later Steve, Julie, and Savannah came over for dinner. It was a good day : )

Pool Party!

It was a fun filled day. We took a stroll in downtown Davis this morning and walked a little through the campus were I went to college : ) We went back to the house so the boys could have lunch. Then Adrian and Ilein came over to see the boys before their nap time. After putting the boys down we went out to lunch with them while papa Ed and mama Sue watched the boys. Later today we went to a little family dinner at Gab and Jason's house in Sac. We got to meet baby Juliana and the boys had a blast in the pool!

Piano

It was a scorcher today, like 104 degrees or something! The boys went to the park early before it got hot and after nap they played outside in the pool until the pool water was super disgusting. After that we took it inside and played some piano. Thomas played left hand, Eli right, and Caleb worked the pedals!

Berkeley

This morning we took the boys to a creek to play in some shallow pools before leaving Sara & Justin's. It was a short but sweet stay!

Next we headed to Berkeley to meet up with a friend and have lunch. We walked around Phil's alma mater, Cal aka UC Berkeley and ate lunch on campus.

After cutting it too close with Bay Area traffic we managed to get to Davis by 5-ish : )

We drove by our old pad in Berkeley for some nostalgia. We lived in the downstairs of this house in a tiny 400 sqft apartment. See the red door behind those stairs, that was our front door! There is also a pic of Phil in front of the architecture building were he spent many many hours, its ironic because its the ugliest building on campus : )

Little Tractors

The boys played in the back yard all morning. In the afternoon we all walked to a winery and shared a bottle of wine with lunch while the boys played on little tractors : )

So a couple months ago I found out through a fb group for parents of id trips that there was another family in the same town as my bro in law. We made arrangements to meet up! I was sooo excited to meet another set of id triplets : ) They are the first complete set of id trips we have ever met. They are a rare breed! We have pics on our good camera but not on my phone so you'll have to wait till I get back to Portland (I also need to get permission from them as well too). I could sort of tell them apart but it was really hard!

Afterwards we had dinner and it was lovely. Roger & Judy came over as well, which was a nice treat : )
